Andrea Coda
Podiatrist BSc(Hons) MChS - PhD researcher in Paediatric Rheumatology since 2008
Podiatrist

I began working at physis in 2007 and I am particularly involved and passionate about biomechanics, gait analysis, video analysis and customised orthotic management. I am extremely proud to work at physis because we are able to provide the latest technology to investigate different biomechanical pathologies - from paediatric and sport injuries to rheumatology and diabetes. The equipment that we have allows me to explain pathologies to patients easily while using modern visual tools as well as implement my clinical management skills. We are the first clinic in the UK to offer functionally casted foot orthotics using our unique Walkable® production system.

At physis I have been actively involved in providing podiatric care for the Edinburgh Rugby Team, National Scottish Ski team, Cricket National Team, Hockey National Team and Scottish Athletic team.

As part of my doctorate at Queen Margaret University, I am currently undertaking a randomised controlled trial to investigate the clinical effectiveness of foot orthoses, pain, quality of life and the gait dynamics of patients diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA).

Consultations are also available in Italian and Spanish.
