As part of our admin team, I look after everything from taking bookings to all the paperwork that is involved with the healthcare profession. My experience in adminstration totals 45 years. I worked at the Scottish Rugby Union for 13 years and was the Personal Assistant to Jim Telfer and then Ian McGeechan. Prior to my position with the S.R.U., I spent nine years at the University of Edinburgh working as a research assistant for the Breast Screening Programme in the Pathology Department.
I never cease to be impressed with the professionalism and the caring attitude of our physiotherapists and other practitioners. I envy their ability to help people get better. I think the most important part of my job is being ready with a smile and a friendly greeting as soon as our front door is opened - and of course a cup of tea on hand for those who need it!
