At physis, we offer an occupational health physiotherapy service to companies and their employees across Scotland. Our physiotherapists treat our occupational health clients both on site and at our clinics. Our aim at physis is to get employees back on their feet, so to speak, as soon as possible. Making employees feel better is also good for the people who employ them. Effective treatment is important to both the patient and the people relying upon their contribution in the work place. To make this happen, we work with companies to set up a service which allows their employees to been seen quickly. Swift physiotherapy intervention means a faster return to work and thus a reduction in sickness absence.
Since 2003, we have provided such a service to Scottish Power. Physis physiotherapists run clinics on site at Cockenzie, Longannet, Telferton, Falkirk and Cambuslang. Treating at the place of work has proven to be very effective in getting patients better faster - which is very important to us.
"Physis delivers a professional and flexible service to Scottish Power. Director Graham Curlewis is innovative in driving solutions and keeps up-to-date with current trends and thinking in his profession. Customer service is important to Physis, and we have always found them to be focused on meeting our requirements whether it's people on the ground or simply some advice to our practitioners." quote on behalf of Scottish Power
We also treat First ScotRail, First Bus and Forth Ports employees. With these companies, on-site facilities are not available, so employees are seen at one of our eight sites across Scotland. We also outsource some of our patient care to give clients the opportunity to been seen in places where we don't have clinics. At physis, we have developed good relationships with other practices, such as Hampden Sports Medicine Centre, which allows for patients to be treated where it is convenient for them. This usually means quicker treatment followed by a faster recovery.
